5,700 square mile Serengeti National Park is a broad expanse of grassland plains, savanna and riverine forest.  Well known for the migration of wildebeest and zebra, the park is also known for its resident wildlife including the “Big Five”, Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Black Rhinoceros and African Buffalo.  The park also contains cheetah, gazelles, topi, eland, waterbuck, hyena, jackal, baboon, impala, wild dogs, giraffe and many more mammals and over 500 bird species, plus reptilian residents.
